Maya's Sunflower
Maya planted a tiny seed in a pot by the window.
Every morning she gave it a cup of water and turned the pot toward the sun.
After two weeks, a green sprout poked out of the soil.
By summer, the sunflower was taller than Maya, and bees visited its bright yellow petals.
